When God Says No: Trusting His Wisdom Above Your Desires

When you pray, you want to hear from God. You want a favorable response. You want God to show up in your circumstances in a way that pleases you. There is a desperation in you for God to operate according to your plan. But consider this:

God desires to speak to you and commune with you. God desires to bless you and make you fruitful. Yet His righteousness will not allow Him to assent to your every demand. Some of the requests you make are not in His will for your life. Some of the things you desire are not good for you.

God loves you so much that He will say no to a request that is detrimental to your wellbeing. God loves you so much that He will lead you away from bad opportunities. You have to trust Him. Know that the One who created you is fully aware of what you need to thrive. Know that the One who created you will not withhold any good thing from you.

Continually seek God and surrender to His will. When you obey God through faith, the outcome is joy unspeakable, peace that surpasses understanding, fruit that remains, and life eternal.

Never let anyone convince you that God’s plans for you are not the best.

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14‬:‭12‬ ‭There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.

Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭6‬-‭9‬ ‭Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
