Happy Thursday to you!

I chose to name my website, Love CompassionateLee, to serve as a reminder of the type of person I want to be. Over the years, I learned that to be loving and compassionate, you also have to be humble. It is impossible to connect with people on an intimate level without the removal of pride. For me, humility is shown by: listening intently, accepting correction or counsel, and being impartial. I appreciate the process of humiliation (not the negative way we've come to understand the term). But, I like the process of being humbled, the process of becoming a less self-absorbed, prideful person. That is what I mean by appreciating humiliation. Humility is key to success; yet, many people do not view it as a necessary characteristic. Many people view the apparent success of those they would deem arrogant and apathetic as a sign that humility is non-essential. I can tell you, assuredly, that pride always precedes downfall. The more we humble ourselves, the more our lives will change (and for the better). This is something we should keep in mind as we strive to fulfill our grand purpose. In the comment section, let me know your definition of humility and what measures you take to remain humble.

Love,

CompassionateLee
