Happy Monday to you!

Although the temperature remains frigid, the sky is very bright. That’s a wonderful sign that spring will arrive soon. The days are beginning to last longer with each passing day.  Each season definitely has its beauty. How was your weekend? Did you participate in any volunteering opportunities? Did you attend any football parties? Did you stay at home and rest? Be sure to tell me all about it in the comment section below. I look forward to reading your replies.

This weekend, I said to myself, “God [truly] answers prayers”. Sometimes, we talk to God and feel like He isn’t responding. We look at our circumstances and nothing appears to transform. The look of our situation can fill us with despair.  Fortunately, I have a lifetime of experience with God. I can say that the look of our circumstances is not the total picture. As we petition God for various desires to be fulfilled, He listens attentively. Furthermore, God works diligently ‘behind the scenes’ to bring us into a resting place. I describe resting place as the location where  we have: relief from our fears, all our needs met, peace, and contentment. It is a place where only God can bring us to because He alone knows what we truly need.

God is bringing me into a resting place. I hear it as I take time to not only pray, but listen to His voice. I see it in His tangible provisions over the past few months. I observe the positive (and powerful) impact of prayers made over a time span of days, weeks, months, and years. I recognize that the character of God is faithful and true. He always keeps His promises.

What are you praying for that seems to be impossible? Keep talking to God because He has the right answers to all your questions. He will guide you into your resting place.

CompassionateLee

Exodus 6:9 So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage. 10 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 11 “Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the children of Israel go out of his land.” 12 And Moses spoke before the Lord, saying, “The children of Israel have not heeded me. How then shall Pharaoh heed me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?”13 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, and gave them a command for the children of Israel and for Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
