Importance of Presence

Happy Sunday to you!

It’s the start of a new week! I hope you were able to find rest over the weekend. I was able to spend some time with my parents and my younger sibling. For those moments, I am extremely grateful. Be sure to tell me about your weekend in the comment section. I look forward to hearing from you.

Today, I want to talk about the importance of presence. Each day we wake up is a blessing. I believe that the majority of people, walking the earth, want to live optimally. To make the most of each day, it is vital that we increase in love for God, ourselves, and others. A key component to becoming a more loving person is to be present

It is impossible to love others without knowing them. Gaining a deeper knowledge of others requires spending time with them. Talk to them. Listen to them. Observe their characteristics and actions. Take interest in their concerns. Be supportive of their efforts when it is in your power to do so. Help others to do what is productive and evade what is harmful.

Presence shows interest. We make time for the things we care about. I believe that the more you invest time and effort into other people, the more you will love them. When you love people, you seek their best interests. Increased love, diminished hatred, healthier world.

Love,

CompassionateLee

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
