The Power of Gratitude

Happy Friday to you!

The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." If any of you have ever tried to go a week without complaining, you know how hard it is to live out this verse. Constantly, life presents us with adverse circumstances. When victory seems to be nonexistent or a fantasy, we can feel tempted to murmur. Nevertheless, we are called to be people of strength. Our strength comes from the Creator of the heavens and the earth. So, let us remain committed to offering sacrifices of thanksgiving. It's been a while, but I am here to offer my sacrifice of thanksgiving: the weekly gratitude list. I am ashamed that I have not shared one in a long time seeing that this series is a foundation of my website. Also, God has blessed me with so many reasons to give thanks. If you feel overwhelmed by life, don't feel like being grateful is a phony move. Gratitude is always acceptable and has the power to change your circumstances beyond your comprehension.

Psalm 145:5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. 6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. 7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. 8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
