What Are You Afraid Of?

You have to start trusting God with requests that you think are too grand, too impossible. I am not SOLELY talking about the need for a new home or an increased salary. Although, if you have a specific need, go ahead and pray about it. Nonetheless, in this moment, I am talking about praying for that family member that you think cannot be freed from drug addiction. I am talking about interceding for that friend that has been diagnosed with cancer and untimely death seems to be looming.

You have to believe God for your friend’s healing.

You have to believe God for your family member’s deliverance.

You have to believe that God’s power and authority is above all creation and that all things are subject to Him. The defeat of yesterday, pay it no mind. The struggle from a few minutes ago, don’t give it any more energy. Put your last bit of energy into trusting God and praying His Word. You’ve fought over and for trivial things. It’s time to fight for what counts. Fight for your faith. Fight for your loved ones. To win this battle, you have to know God’s word.

You don’t know His word?

Here are some affirmations and scriptures you can declare over yourself and your loved ones tonight:

Jesus loves me!

How do I know this? Because…

John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 4:9 says In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

So that means,

No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” as it says in Isaiah 54:17

Therefore I declare that,

I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. as it says in Psalms 118:17

Neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. as it says in Romans 8:38-39!

Which means

I am victorious in Christ Jesus my Lord! as it says in 1 Corinthians 15:57.

I want you to stop looking to yourself and look to God. Talk to Him! Literally, turn off your phone and your tv and whatever other device has your attention at the moment. Don’t let yourself linger in doubt. Cut that negative thought immediately with conversation- conversation with God. Be honest with Him about your uncertainty, and be willing to give Him the trust that He deserves. You’ve placed your hope and confidence in yourself and other people for long enough. You’ve placed yourself or others in God’s position. Today is the day for you to go to God with that situation you’ve been trying to control.

Today is the day for you to ask God to intervene and let His will be done. For in God’s will, there is love, healing, provision, renewal, joy, and peace.

Matthew 17:14 And when they came to the crowd, a man came up to him and, kneeling before him, 15 said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he has seizures and he suffers terribly. For often he falls into the fire, and often into the water. 16 And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not heal him.” 17 And Jesus answered, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly.19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
