A City Under Siege

Happy Saturday to you!

When at your lowest point, you may feel the strongest inclination to give up. The bad news you received may seem like a sign to throw in the towel on your dreams and aspirations. There may be no opportunity within sight for escape or relief from your present circumstances. Yet, it is precisely in those moments of distress and anguish that you are called upon to exhibit the greatest level of faith and strength.

The strength you have might be small but it is just the right amount you need to keep going. Use that strength to think great thoughts about yourself, to put on your best attire each day, to feed yourself the best meals you can. Use the little you have to nourish yourself. Pray even when you feel like God isn't listening. If all you can manage to say is "God, I believe you. Please help me!" that prayer is sufficient.

God doesn't need elaborate prayers from you. God doesn't need you to perform a litany to get his attention.  All he asks of you is trust and sincerity. God is mindful of your need. Of course, he expects you to do what is in your power to improve your life. Nevertheless, if you have done all that you can and things still have not improved, wait on God. Wait with expectation that the will of God for your life is going to happen. Always remember that the will of God is good and perfect. If you continue to seek God's will, the results will amaze you.

I know it is easier said than done. But we all know this life is anything but easy. So if you are going to truly live, you have to submit to the hard work. Fight for your best life by trusting God. Let your faith carry you where your plans and your work cannot.

Love,

CompassionateLee

Psalm 31:21 Blessed be the Lord, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was beset as a city under siege. 22 I had said in my alarm, “I am driven far from your sight.” But you heard my supplications when I cried out to you for help.
