Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Happy Tuesday to you!

When you repeatedly wrong someone you love, a schism develops. The schism creates a growing distance that neither individuals enjoy. Sometimes, the schism is irreparable and the relationship dissolves. Other instances, the schism is repaired; although, it takes much time and effort. Sin is the cause of schisms in our relationships with God. The more we commit to sin, the farther we get from God. God does not want to be disconnected from us. Certainly, we do not want to be disconnected from Him. So how do we repair the great divide? The answer is renewed commitment.

We have to make it our daily mission to honor our commitment to God above anything else. Anytime our devotion to things and people supersedes our devotion to God, trouble awaits us. Unlike some of the other relationships we have, it is possible for us to become reconciled with God. It takes acknowledgement of wrongdoing, repentance, and recommitment. Intimacy with God is contingent upon our willingness to take these steps.

In conclusion, if you have relationships in your life that are broken, apply the aforementioned steps. You never know what God will do when you make the choice to do what is right.

Matthew 5:23 So when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.
