Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Happy Monday to you!

Today begins the 13 days of love celebration! From now until February 14, each post will call us to a greater display of love. Some posts will be concerning the love of family. Other posts will be in regard to the love of friends. Of course, there will be posts concerning the love of significant others. This is simply a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. My hope is that whether you are single, married, or engaged that this Valentine’s Day will be a happy one for you. By now, you’re probably wondering, “What’s the focus of today’s post?”

DAY 1: FORGIVENESS

You cannot have love without forgiveness. The two go hand in hand. Anyone who hopes to sustain a long-term relationship has to be committed to both actions. Let’s be honest: we all make mistakes. Sometimes, we act for the best interest of self. That truth should make us more compassionate towards our loved ones. Yet, for many of us, we find it hardest to pardon the faults of the ones closest to us. Our expectations increase the closer we get. Don’t get me wrong. It is good to have expectations. However, we should always balance our expectations with grace.

This year, let’s demonstrate our love through forgiveness. If your significant other forgets your birthday, do not quarrel. If your son’s godmother misses his football game, do not hold a grudge. If your sister “borrows” your favorite blazer, don’t lose your temper. Remember, there will be moments where you will need to be forgiven. Until tomorrow,

Love,

CompassionateLee

Mark 11:25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."
