Day 10: Devotion

The temperature may be frigid, but the sun is shining beautifully. Although there's another snowstorm heading to the Northeast, I plan to enjoy my weekend. I'm thrilled that my god-daughter has arrived, and I cannot wait to hold her in my arms. What are your plans for this weekend? Let me know in the comment section. Of course, I haven't forgotten that it is day 10 of the 13 days of love celebration! Today, I want to encourage you to carve time out of your day to spend alone with God. Study the holy scriptures, pray, worship, and meditate on His goodness. The more time you devote to God, the more empowered you become to do great works.

If you are weary because of your daily routine, invest in a devotional and schedule time to read it. Devotionals are the perfect way to adjust your focus from a worldly outlook to a righteous perspective. They are filled with inspiration to help you throughout your day. If you have the Bible app downloaded on your phone, it has a plethora of devotionals for you to choose from. One that I would suggest is You and Me Forever: Marriage in Light of Eternity by Francis and Lisa Chan. Another option is to purchase devotionals at your favorite local or online bookstore.

Psalm 27:4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
